Spring in Blue & Yellow Is it Spring yet? We've had Easter and now we are about to have May Day Bank Holiday here in the UK but the weather remains depressingly chilly and wet. At least you can lurk indoors and make things, maybe even with my latest kit Spring in Blue & Yellow. Featuring lots of daffodils and grape hyacinths, there are fifteen sheets of A4 to enjoy including the usual background papers, fancy sheets, tags, borders, embellishments, faux stamps, postcards and a new item, faux cigarette cards. Here too are a couple of freebies that didn't make it into the set. And this one:

If you are reading this blog you are presumably a fan of digital printables and eager to get your hands on some ephemera for your junk journal, greetings cards or whatever. How about a new set every day for twenty-four days? Sound too good to be true? For the price of $14.95 you can get all this next month at this site. I seem to recall that my contribution Angelic Christmas is on Day 14. Soon the rest of my kit will be appearing in my Etsy shop, but this is a great way to see the work of several different people and there is something about having that surprise every day that has always made me a fan of advent calendars.
Christmas In Blue

I was speaking to somebody yesterday who didn't think that blue was a good color for Christmas, but I don't agree. It is certainly a cool color, calling to mind images of sparkling ice and dark evening skies. Christmas In Blue celebrates the chilly side of the season with images of snowy towns, Santa on his sleigh riding through starry skies, baubles, foliage touched by frost and snowflakes. You can find the first sheet in the set right here This is called Frosty Foliage, soon to be joined by O Little Town. In the meantime, here are a couple of sheets that didn't get in. A blank version of the page with the large snowflakes and a page featuring the Little Town for writing on.

My latest junk journal kit The Book of Shadows means you can make your own grimoire, perfect for recording all those spells and potions, writing about the holiday and generally indulging yoru darker, spookier side. Last year I came up with Trick or Treat which is still available, and would coordinate very well with the new kit. To check it out just press here There is always a freebie or two that didn't make the kit. This is particularly useful as it is the base for the fancy pages and could be used almost anywhere. Here is the lined version: Have fun! Part two of this set will be coming along very soon.

As promised in my last post here is the second part of A Walk in the Woods, entitled Falling Leaves. This set celebrates the glorious riot of color that is autumn with leaves in all shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. Many of the photos were taken by me of the leaves I see on the green opposite my home. I love the way no two are alike. You can see the kit here Some of the graphics I used in this kit have been around for a few years as they were originally part of the first kit I ever designed! It wasn't even for junk journals but for scrapbooking and cardmaking. I kept it to look at whenever I wanted to be reminded of my progress! Most of it just screamed beginner, but a few pieces aren'thalf bad and I offer you the best two gratis. First, a 12x12 scrapbook page: Secondly a page of different sized squares which really shows its age! Anybody who was into papercrafts in the 2000s might remember sheets like this by Marjolein Zweed, a Dutch designer who sold sh

Autumn! Here i n the UK it started as soon as the month turned from hot and sunny to chilly, wet and windy! Even if this type of weather is not exactly suitable for going for real walks in real woods you can stay home and make a junk journal about it. This is where my new kit comes in as it is called A Walk in the Woods and celebrates all things about the season: falling leaves crunching underfoot, colorful toadstools and acorns, trees changing from green to many shades of yellow, orange and red... You get 12 A4 sheets comprising four backgrounds, four fancy sheets plus borders, images to cut out, faux postcards and stamps. All for £2.10 here To get you started here are a couple of spare sheets that didn't make it into the kit: Of course you can also use them for greetings cards, scrapbooking and any other papercraft use you can think of. I'll post the second part of this set shortly, Falling Leaves. Note that this is mostly a photographic kit rather than the usual vint
